Bishop Calvin Emery

Bishop Calvin N. Emery is a native of St.Francisville, Louisiana. Bishop Emery has been in full time ministry for more than three decades. At an early age, it was evident that the hand of God was upon his life as he began to flourish in music. His God-given talents and abilities in this creative arena were enhanced by attending Louisiana State University as a Music major, in addition to further study at Christian Bible College, where he received a Doctorate in Divinity.
But music was to be only a strategic asset in his Christian journey. In obedience to the call of God, Bishop Emery proceeded to birth a ministry that would address the dire need for spiritual refreshing among so many earnest seekers of life-changing Scriptural teaching and guidance. Thus, Times of Refreshing World Outreach Ministries and Family Center (TOR) was established in Baton Rouge in 1993 and has grown through the years with enduring impact and service to the local community and beyond.
As pastor of TOR, Bishop Emery has continued to use the Word of God, as well as his strong foundation in music, to expand the reach of his ministry through writing and producing songs, stage plays, and dramatic sermons. Proclaiming the name of the Lord Jesus Christ through the message of salvation and the Scriptural promise of refreshing for all believers, Bishop Emery has touched the lives of countless people around the world.

Bishop Emery is also the founder of the Kingdom Fellowship Network, an organization that promotes and encourages Kingdom fellowship, mentoring and fathering in the Body of Christ worldwide to pastors and ministers, as well as musicians and worship leaders. Additionally, Bishop Emery is a professor at the Don Bradford Bible College in Baton Rouge. As a pastoral counselor and educator, he ministers to the hearts of those who are hungry for wisdom, and seek knowledge of God’s plan for their lives. He is currently working on his first book to bring his inspiring and insightful teaching to wider audiences, in addition to becoming a licensed pilot in 2016 and incorporating his mastery of aviation into his ministry.
Bishop Calvin Emery declares that the refreshing of God’s Word will transform those that are spiritually dehydrated to restore hope, determination, and strength. He strongly believes and embraces the Word of God that says: “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25, NIV). Bishop Emery is married to Pastor Shawne L. Emery and is the father of three beautiful daughters, Dr. Felicia D. Emery, Corinthia Emery-Lee and Genesia N. Emery. He is also blessed with one grandson.
